External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held bilateral talks with his Chinese counterpart Qin Gang ahead of the SCO foreign ministers' summit in Goa. Jaishankar said the talks between two sides focused on resolving outstanding issues and ensuring peace along the border areas. India-China ties nosedived since the 2020 Galwan clashes and border issues between the two sides in eastern Ladakh have been lingering on. Watch this video for details.

Jaishankar to Chinese FM, we are not the
India of 1962.

Nice to see India being an active and proud member of China's SCO, an international platform created by China to further its geopolitical interests

Indian EAM again reminded Chinese FM that this is not the India of 1962, and China's FM told him that he is aware of the fact and highly appreciated his claim.😂😂😂

Jaishanker likes to remind the Chinese that this is not the India of 1962:

GDP per capita 1962:
India🇮🇳 = $91
China🇨🇳 = $72

GDP per capita 2023:
China🇨🇳 = $14, 900
India🇮🇳 = $2, 300👈

China and India should be able to mending their differences, so that the world can see that China practice what they preach. Peace and good economy for the benefit of all mankind. Peace to the Human Race 🏁 🙏 ✨️ 😌

I hope that China and India can resolve their differences and become allies. The body language between the leaders did not give me much hope. That rivalry will hold both countries back from becoming the true world powers that they were meant to be. Once they result their issues, the world order will be forced to change. The UN can’t continue to be dominated by the US/UK and France. It is time for india to replace the UK on the security council.

It seems that the relationships, between China and India, are stabilizing and gaining equilibrium.

Declare Tibet and Uiygursthaan as independent nations. That is the one and only permanent solution.
Also adobt back Pakistan as the part of India as it was, will resolve a permanent peace process.
By the way china automatically move back .

Any reconciliation, if it happens, in foreseeable future, would be predominantly on China's terms and conditions. India has nothing substantial up their sleeves, to bargain.

Fun fact: India's applications to join SCO was rejected multiple times by Beijing. It was only through Russia's request that China finally allowed India into its orbit. First as an observer, an insult only Indians are capable of enduring

If China is too uptight to come to the G20 at J&K because it's allegedly disputed territory, then India should propose talks within Taiwan, HK or Tibet then cancel because it's disputed territory?

Ties cannot be normalised unless there is peace at the borders. This is very true. But China does not seem keen to resolve the border issue at all. Its strategy is to leave it unresolved so that it can choose its time n place whenever it wants to create problems with India. Whenever it wants to intimidate India for other reasons such as economic, trade, Tibet etc. The same strategy applies to the Code of Conduct for the South China Sea.
