How To Travel The Greek Islands

Want to know how to travel through Greece? Want to get from one island to the next?

Island hopping through the greek islands can seem like a difficult and impossible task as first. Aside from your initial thoughts of trying to get to the different islands it is probably much easier and cheaper than you think! It is actually quite simple and cheap to get yourself and transportation if you have it from one island to another.

When looking into how to get from one island to another the best start is to find the local travel agent on your first island. I know this can be quite scary to wait until the last minute to get your ticket but there is a route to almost all of the major islands nearly every day. If you are looking to travel to the different islands but fall on an off day it is also typically common for hotel owners to be waiting at the port trying to unload a room last minute for cheap.

I would defiantly try to book the tickets to match your room but if you are traveling alone or with a friend you can usually take the risk and be ok. It is also very safe to travel between the island so don't be too concerned.

If you are on one island in Greece you must go island hopping to another island. It is too easy and cheap to get around between the islands to only choose one greek island. Each island will have its own vibe and feel to it, best to try and get as much experience out of it as possible. I think staying for 3 days is a great duration to stay on each island.

the best beach in Syros is Armeos. its next to gallissas, you climb the hill on the left of Gallisas where the church St Pakou is and then you go down again. also best beaches are located on the top north of the island
