Who Was ACTUALLY BETTER: Giannis Antetokounmpo, or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar? | NBA Versus

The Milwaukee Bucks are the furthest thing from a big market franchise. One thing they can claim though, is two championships exactly 50 years apart, both teams being led by a generational talent and dominant force to take them all the way, these two players are, of course, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Kareem, an icon of the game and almost unanimously considered a top 10, if not top 5 player in the history of the game, solidified his legacy long ago, while Giannis’ story is still being told. That being said, their record for the Bucks is remarkably close as far as accolades go. Kareem with 3 MVPs, 1 Finals MVP, and one Championship. Giannis with 2 MVPs, a Finals MVP, and a Championship. I think, if Giannis keeps up this pace and stays in Milwaukee his whole career, he will easily take the title of the greatest Buck of all time, but is he there already? A lot of fans seem to think so, while to others it isn’t so clear. Today, we are going to break down the games of both players as they were during their Bucks careers alone, and see which player currently reigns supreme as the greatest Buck of all time

Welcome to the channel! Over my life, I have developed a passion for diving deep into the stats, history, and play styles of various basketball players and teams, and in my opinion no better way to get those ideas out there than through rankings and tier lists.

I tend to discuss detailed breakdowns of individual players' strengths and weaknesses, their historical achievements, and their current performance on the court, to determine where they rank in the list in question.

The tier lists are carefully crafted to reflect the latest trends and developments in the league, and I always stay up to date with the latest news and analysis.

Whether you're a basketball history fan, or someone who wants to learn and talk about the modern game, this channel will have content for you. Subscribe for regular basketball ranking content and highlights!

Why don't YouTube ban videos like this. You mentioned Kareem in the same sentence with Embiid. 😂

Boston isn’t a large market team either and Kareem is a much better player

So this dude wins ONE CHAMPIONSHIP 🏆 and now y'all wanna size him up against Lou Alcindor aka Kareem Abdul Jabbar 😅 Kareem has SIX CHAMPIONSHIPS 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆, y'all youngster are definitely under mind control thanks to ESPN and these sellout azz sports commentators, smh

Nope. This is about recency bias. Kobe is not the greatest Laker, either. Kareem and/or Magic own that. The value of all time greats gets discounted over time. No different young fans discount Bill Russell for Larry Bird even though Russell is not just the best Celtic but arguably the NBA's greatest player. His only true rivals being Kareem and Jordan. Why championships and MVPS. They are the three players who dominate those categories!!

Kareem if it was him instead of Giannis In recent playoffs would probably gotten the heat eliminated same could be said for 2022 and 2020 2019 possibly to and many other years of Giannis except 2018 an 2017 which is understandable and 2013 or 2016, 2014, 2015 he would probably not win and the point is if it was Kareem in Giannis career from 2013 to today he would do way better than Giannis also Kareem is harder to guard then Giannis also for 2023 he probably would beated Denver and 2022 warriors 2021 Giannis already won 2021, 2020 probably would’ve beaten that Toronto team in 2019 and I feel like their big men wouldn’t be a solution to stop him

Wishful thinking. There is no comparison. Kareem is arguably the goat
