It's expensive for an air cooler. But the performance is equal to some of the best water coolers that are equally or even more expensive. It will also be more a lot more durable and Noctua provides different platform mountings for free, lifetime..

Dario c'mon mate, King is back? Maybe if are rich like one, you could buy 4 Peerless assassin's for same price, take off the fans from the three left over ones and kit out the entire rig with them, or buy two Frozen Prisms that will run the system at least 10c cooler and can be replaced every 6 months by people paranoid about AIO's. It's cool experiment Noctua did without a doubt, 10 years research to improve 1-2c over previous version and give an answer that unless some extremely drastic technology is going to be invented that this is it for Air Coolers, because CPU's are not getting any less hot or TDP hungry any time soon.

davnih dana koristila se noctua na propelere :D, sad samo water cooling to je to!

Unfortunately at 150 euro that it costs it's in the territory of good AIO coolers (like cooler master atmos and ek nucleus).Also they have to face thermalright (peerless assassin 140) which offers close thermal performance at 1/3 of the cost.The downsides of thermalright coolers are the non existent customer service poor quality fans and inferior thermal paste.I will still use my NH-D15S but if at the future need something better then probably an AIO will be my purchase although i am not a fan of these.
