I own an inexpensive mandolin. It's one of those "Hey, I think I'll learn how to play the..." instruments, that I never actually learned how to play...the right way. I dust it off occasionally and somehow manage to eek out a few notes with it from time to time, but I would not say that "I play Mandolin". Noodle? Yes. Play? No. :) Anyway, I started recording this cover about 7 months ago, and in the very slow process of doing so, I thought it might be fun to play a mandolin track, since this is an acoustic driven song. Well, one mandolin track turned in to two...into three etc etc. So now it kinda has a Bluegrass tinge to it...and I dig it!

I usually don't take as much liberty with cover tunes, (and I'm sure this cover will annoy a lot of hardcore Beatles fans) but, well...I just don't care! :) I had a lot of fun making this, and THAT is the reason I do them. I do hope you enjoy it, but if you don't...in the words of the late great Rick Nelson, "Well it's all right now. I learned my lesson well. You see you, can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself" (Another great old tune. Hmmm...that gives me an idea!) ;)
