Happy Juneteenth!

Juneteenth has been celebrated by the African American community since June 19, 1866, one year after Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce the end of the war and the freedom of all enslaved people. Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and recognizes the ongoing fight for human rights and equality.
