Eric has always been one of my top favorites. I don't understand why they won't let you use part of a video. Your analysis is always so favorable and actually creates further interest in the artist (think money). I feel their possessiveness hurts them more then they seem to realize. They way you bring all their abilities to light, sheesh, they are getting great advertising for free. As always, I love your analysis.

I am a big fan of Eric Clapton both the amazing artist and the person. In interviews he seems to be reticent when talking about himself but does speak openly and honestly about his years of addiction.
Back in the glory days of MTV, I never could understand why his guitar playing was so distinctive and why I, as a non-musician, could recognize his playing without looking at the tv or recognizing the song. 30+ years later I began to understand the reason when I first started watching your analyses; long before this one. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with all of us.

Eric Clapton 1985 so young. I actually remember the live aide and he was great. He has a way of making you drop everything and listen. He is special. I’m glad you did this. He can’t really play guitar and hear today, but he says if you want to see me anyway that’s great. Thank you Fil😊
