In this clip, Peterson expounds his symbolic understanding of Christ and the cross while Bishop Barron defends the historic and orthodox faith. Great clip.

This is perhaps the most important but by no means the only facet of the crucifixion. An infinite grace and a gift of love.

Hi TJ. I am really captivated by your YouTube.

I don’t know who you are exactly. However, I looked you up and all I found was that you had graduated from seminary somewhere?

I see you like Bishop Barron, quite a bit and father Mike and Jordan Peterson.

I am certainly old enough to be your grandmother I suppose.

But I love watching certain things like this on YouTube.

I’m Catholic and have been
since the day I was born.

But I’m very ecumenical I’ve always loved my evangelical brothers and sisters and Jewish friends etc. etc. etc.

I love those who love the Lord. (love others too!)😊

Anyway, I just thought you should know that I appreciate what you’re putting out there.

I think I get more information from you than others in my actual faith.

Maybe you aren’t Catholic maybe you are but it doesn’t matter
…because what you’re doing is sharing bits of wisdom, my goodness.

So who are you?
Well, whoever you are, you’re a blessed soul and thank you for what you do!

Is there anywhere I could know more about you?

I don’t do social media I don’t do Instagram I don’t do Facebook.

Anyway, just wondering???

But the one thing I know, is that you love Jesus and so do I.
God bless you and thank you for sharing the Good News!
🙏✝️

Good. Perhaps God’s Holy Spirit works in individuals where they are and He draws them gradually towards Him. In which case we should, I think, not be too judgemental, argumentative or critical of followers of Christ who have a more mythological understanding. If we search deeply we will probably find we have all been heretical in our thinking at times. I suspect many in an average church congregation do not have, nor even desire, a deep theological understanding, they are there to press into the heart of God in worship. Perhaps it’s more of a right brain non linguistic thing?
