Here's the thing ... If Cousins is going to have the breakout season many are predicting . Thielen is going to be a big part of that .

Objectively speaking, the biggest changes from 2021's 8-9 team to the 2022 team are these: (1) HC and GM fired, new HC and GM hired, (2) Hunter was lost most of last year and will be back, and (3) a pretty major free agent signing of another accomplished DE. Given that two DEs can't take a team from 8 wins and sub-.500 to a division champion with 11 or 12 wins as many fans are predicting, it leaves this logical conclusion: Fans predicting a jump from 8-9 to 12-5 think that a first-year HC and GM are 4 wins better than the last ones. (Note: The last ones paired up for two NFC North championships in their first four years together, but none after they acquired a very expensive veteran QB.)

I'm not defending either Zimmer or Spielman, as it was time for both to go, but I want to point out that fans' expectations of 12+ wins in 2022 seems a little crazy. People are predicting with their personal hopes rather than grounded reason. With that mindset, I wonder if the same people will be turning on KOC and Kwesi quickly if/when 2022 turns out to be yet another 8 or 9 win season.

My expectations is that this team will be fun to watch and cheer for because last year was awful… I really watched just to hear purple daily vent line afterwards…. This year has a brand new feeling

I have to wonder which receivers will emerge as the fourth and fifth receivers. Could one of them jump up and beat out KJ Osborne? I think either ISM or Jalen Nailor might be equally good if they can get on the field.

The only expectation I have for this year is a playoff berth and a playoff win if not too hell what I would love to see is Minnesota versus Buffalo bills in a super bowl and I know a lot of people say all that be a bad super bowl for Minnesota because I don't think so I think the only thing they have better in Buffalo than we got in Minnesota is I do think their quarterback is better but I think Kirk cousins has more weapons than Josh Allen

According to Vikings fans, the Vikings have the best offensive players at every skill position in the NFL. The trouble is that the sun is always less than the components . Bragging about individual players while ignoring team success will guarantee the Vikings will always fall short of a Superbowl title.

Top 5 should be the minimum with all the talent we have on offense. If not, then we're done for.

Play with "fire" because he was drafted 32nd some 11 years ago? Come on!

Who cares if you trade in your division, your keeping other team from a draft pick....look at history of trades in division, we've made out more than the others

They had the money to get offensive line people in that in 2021 Zim spent $40 million on just defense alone and they got worst than 2020. The defense always had money as Zim wanted it that way.

The ownership has decided to run this team back for ticket sales off of hype.
If a Superbowl was the goal, it wouldn't have "run it back."

It wont be a top 3 offense, Buffalo, KC, Chargers, Rams, Raiders just from the top of my head

Ben Leber is very high on Cousin's this year for one reason. Now with the biggest cousins hater Mike Zimmer gone cousins will thrive. Maybe Cousins doesn't need everything to be perfect for him. Maybe he just needs to be free of a Coach who hated him.

You won't believe what I saw. It says that Joe Burrow is working with Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase and he could recruit Justin Jefferson to be a Bengals. It could be the connection of LSU that will bring them together in a reunion.🤣🤣🤣🤣

I just can't believe so many of my Fellow Vikings Fans think this team is going to be so good. Top 5 Offense? Not realistic expectation. 12 plus wins? Not realistic.... We just haven't done anything special enough to warrant such a drastic improvement. We have rookie/young HC, that I don't even like....I'm not crazy about the hire to begin with....He wasn't all that special last time he worked w/Cousins in going to have struggles, and blow games w/Rookie installing new 3-4 defensive scheme that NONE of our returning players are familiar with, A LOT of new/young players coming its just unlikely we improve much.... The players we added in draft aren't all that good....No game changers... Mostly special teamers or back-up level guys... Booth is coming off surgery, and Cine has a long way to go to be a contributor. Cousins is Cousins.... Blah Blah.... This team just screams 7-10 wins, maybe Wild Card team. No one wants to be great more than me. But I'm realistic. We're running back a flawed roster. If anyone thinks having a "Nicer" Coach who says "Hi In The Hallway" is going to make a big delusional.... And by the way, if the players didn't play their best last year "because Zim was mean to them" then SHAME ON THOSE PLAYERS.... The idea that guys who get paid millions of dollars to play a game need to be coddled NAUSEATES ME.
