In this lecture a simple procedure (or recipe) for field quantization using canonical quantization rules is given, without general proofs. The quantization is done by using analogies with the 1st. quantization for a classical particle, but we need to interpret the field as a coordinate and therefore, a canonical momentum for that field must be identified (it is possible with the aid of lagrangian formulation, but I make general considerations without proof here). The case of the electron field is used as an example.
