Nikon 35mm F/1.8 DX Lens Review

The 35mm Nikkor F/1.8 G AF-S Nikon DX Lens is one of the best prime lenses you can get for your Nikon DSLR Camera.

Nikon Prime Lenses or Fixed Focal Length Lens are great for capture sharp color accurate images with Bokeh, Depth of Field and will be amazing for both photography and DSLR video.

The Nikon 35mm F/1.8 G Lens is one of my favorites for shooting portrait photography and cosplay. It is also great at capture quality video for a film look.

Wide Aperture lens like the Nikon 35mm are good at capture photography and video in Low Light situations as well when you open the aperture to F/1.8 or F/2.8. The wide aperture and the crop factor make it a great lens for indie filmmakers just getting into DSLR video for the first time.

since 35mm known for versatility, what about use this lens as a portrait? is it good shot for head/shoulder shot or do i require to take a full body shot, i dont want to buy 50mm just for portrait.

hey im very conflict im a newbie hobbyist and after 3 anime cons im unsure what to get for my D5000 which is better 35mm Nikkor F/1.8 G AF-S Nikon DX Lens(208.89USD) or the NIKON AF-S NIKKOR 50MM F1.8G LENS(193.42) majority of photoshoot are out outside all day so ill be doing shoots with plenty of light so im unsure if these lenses are much more suited for low light and i prefer to choose stomach onwards or full body i rarely do group photos (cosplay photos) Usually I want what my eyes can see and they say 50mm prime lens is what i probably want but my dslr has the crop sensor will that hugely effect my photos?

I like full bodies shot. Can the 35mm and 50mm take full bodies, without backing up to far? I have a D90.

I have a question. Having this lense on my own i realised it's great lense and it's even sharper than several top quality zoom lenses that cost more than 500$, but i need more wide angle.i looked for zoom Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 and have thoughts that if i buy it, does it mean that there will be no needs in 35mm?
I know 35mm is suitable for landscape, street photo, portraits, not macro, but still :)

On some of your other videos you have a blue bar that comes out and it has your name how do you do that is it a preset within premiere pro or was it in after effects

Hi Roberto, this will be the next lens I buy. About a month ago I bought the Nikon5300 with the 18 -140mm lens and I'm getting great photographs, still haven't done much video with it. I think the 35mm would be great for video, I will be looking for a bargain on it as I've spent so much money already x Mairead

Do you recommend this lens for large groups photography? I shoot a lot of family reunions, and would like a lens that's sharp, won't get me distortion at the widest angle, and print great jpegs. If not this lens, what's your recommendation??
