Going On A Date With... MYSELF!

A HUGE topic right now in social media and just online in general is self care. I think we’ve all realized just how important it is to take that hour or two to ourselves each day so we can recoup and gather our thoughts. Recently I’ve been posting a lot more about self care on all my social media platforms, so I decided today to do a little self care video… taking myself on a date!

I played it up just a little haha but in all reality, it’s super important for us to take that time for ourselves to do the things we love. In this video I went and got food that I wanted and visited a new coffee shop and went shopping, but self care looks different to everyone! Sometimes for me it’s just eating some ice cream or watching a movie. Hopefully y’all enjoyed me hanging out with my self today! Take care of yourselves!!

omg —i LOVE self dates. Sometimes, I’d go to fancy restaurants and to the movies, walk on the beach, etc. I’m married now so it’s hard to do it as often anymore, but you are right that it is a healthy thing to go out into town all by yourself and just do yo’ thang, it’s very empowering to know you can be solo and be ok with it. In college, I definitely had to learn how to be alone, which was really intimidating since I come from a big family! The first few times going out to dinner or a coffee shop by myself felt strange and kind of embarrassing, but over my 4 years in college I totally embraced and learned to love the simplicity of going where I wanted to go and not waiting for someone to agree to come with me!

100% I try to take myself out every now and then. It’s super embarrassing at first but that’s all just in your mind. So many people have lunch or dinner alone just look around and I call self-dates real empowerment. Gets to show how comfortable you are with yourself!

I love taking myself out! Recently my favorite thing to do is go to a movie by myself! I also really love going out to eat by myself and reading a book while I'm there!

I don’t do this much cause of covid now, but I used to like to go to full service restaurants by myself. Sometimes sit at the bar, sometimes a booth. I loved it. Some people would be passive aggressive and be like “where’s my invite” about it. Sorry, it’s me time! And I felt secure enough to be by myself ❤️

I absolutely love the Idea of going on a date by yourself.I absolutely love going on dates by myself it’s my absolute favourite thing to do 24/7.

Cause I go out for a hot chocolate & then go shopping.& then I also buy myself lunch.

& I get myself whatever I want to eat.

Then after shopping & lunch.

I go find somewhere cozy & comfy to relax&chill.

After that’s all done I go home at the end of my date.🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩.

I buy myself munchies & snacks to watch movies at the end of the day date or date night.
