I hate it when you have no ideas while you have time to draw. But then at night when your in bed you think of like 100 things to draw but your too tired to write them down or start drawing them. Then the next day you forget ALL of them and art block hits you again...

When I struggle to find inspiration, I look at some selected works of the masters, or picture books with illustrations I like, or go through my portfolio of images I or watch Lioba's videos :) It has been a while since I made significant art work. My job as a teacher eats much of my time and energy. Deep inside, my need for artistic self-expression is screaming for its release, and my hands have been yearning to reach out for my art materials. Now that I am on leave for a semester, I've been doodling and sketching and conceptualizing. As what you said, when we face a lot of options, we become paralyzed. I believe that is what is happening to me. I am now narrowing down the options so that my direction becomes clearer and that I can actually start before I run out of time. I love this new art work, Lioba, and your "magic with watercolor" always amazes me. Keep creating and keep inspiring "paralyzed artists" like me. :)

pinterest also has a lot of good refs and inspiration pictures. I made boards for fashion, female, male, makeup and landscape and it really helps me to bring out my own ideas

I love pintrest for inspiration! I have several boards filled with accessories, clothing, portraits, and photographs. If I need inspiration I scroll through one of my boards until an idea hits me.

I have in my phone a list of things/characters/ideas I would like to draw. Every time I have a new idea I write it on the list, that doesn't mean I will have to draw all the things but just in case I keep everything there.
