Web server for chrome is no longer supported on Google Chrome, but you can still use it on Firefox, and other browsers. If you must use Chrome, follow the leading answer on this post from Stack Overflow:

This was uploaded 2 years ago but I still wanted to thank you. I was told just to make a html file and to launch it in a web browser to run and that still didn't help, then I was told to run it in Node. This explained the very basics.
