Another thing to keep in mind is that if you send one settler to another territory, it will take them a few in game days to get to their destination. It won’t be instantaneous. So if you send someone away and then fast travel, don’t be surprised if your new roomie isn’t at the party yet.

I’m in a survival game right now, I only have 4 companions, piper fell off a sky bridge in Lexington while I was sleeping. I lost dog meat too in a huge firefight but spent in game days on different whole expeditions to find them. No luck… Hope this works…

That last time i ever had a companion was in fallout 3. I had the tunnel snake following me, i once told him to wait while i went sneaking into a raider camp and forgot i told him to wait. Never saw him again.

Wait a minute they dont go back to a settlement because in skyrim they always go to certain locations like seranas location is fort dawnguard or to your home

My Vault Tec management system won't show Codsworth.

I knew he was in Sanctuary, but couldn't find him anywhere.
Another video even suggested waiting until nighttime, so his thruster flame would be easier to see.

It didn't help.

I solved the problem by building the Bell that calls everyone when you ring it.

I couldn’t find Preston at all. Somehow he got stuck at the top of trinity tower even though is dismissed him to sanctuary

even if I recruit only 4 companions, in the last game only 3, I still end up losing them somewhere 😄
and the console command to take you where they are is often inaccurate 😒
