2018 is the Centenary of the French battles of Le Hamel, Amiens, Villers-Bretonneux and Mont Saint Quentin. It is the occasion for France to thank Australia and commemorate the Diggers who came to France and fought on the Western Front during WW1.

Numerous commemorative sites already exist in Northern France and the Somme regions, and a new one, the Sir John Monash Centre, will open in April 2018 in Villers-Bretonneux. It will be the opportunity for visitors to better understand the involvement of Australia during WW1.

When travelling through these destinations, you will also discover the culture and art de vivre and visit tourist sites of Northern France along your route.
