This is David Lynch's hardest movie to watch but it's also the one that stays with you the longest.

Lynch is so much more than a director, a real visionary, nobody can mix dream and reality like he does, truly unique!

Cannot wait to get my hands on a Criterion release of this.

This is my security blanket movie. David’s dreamscapes are always comfortable, liminal, dreamy. There is always the magic

Just got a chance to see this in cinema the other day, absolutely incredible experience. It’s been one of my top 10 favourite films since I saw it well over 10 years ago and it was amazing getting to see and hear it on the big screen. Unforgettable experience!

Time to be utterly emotionally devastated again the only way Lynch can do. I need this on 4K home release :-)

I saw David Lynch present Inland Empire in Seattle the year it came out. He took the stage and said, 'Ladies and Gentlemen, Inland Empire!' and the film started. Those of us who had been following Lynch's work knew to prepare ourselves for --- David Lynch. There were many in the audience who were utterly confused when the lights came up. One woman asked, 'But what does it MEAN?' And Lynch said, 'What did it mean to you?' This woman launched into a fairly cohesive summary and theories of what the different characters meant, what the dual timeline meant et cetera. At the end she said, 'Is that right?' And Lynch said, 'That was absolutely right!' (Pause) 'For you!' He was a surprisingly bubbly person for someone who has presented us with so many dark and confounding visions.

I've seen this film at least twenty times but I'm going to see it in a theater for the first time tonight.

This is the only Lynch film I've never seen -- it's not a movie that's been widely available, although that appears to be changing as a result of this showcase and the impending Criterion release. Many of the dates sold out fairly quick, but I managed to get tickets to go next week :-)
