If MJ calls you a threat, you're a damn great player in my opinion

Those Blazer teams were easily some of greatest teams of all time. Seriously, most younger focus so much on stats in general, but when it comes to looking back at players from a while ago all they have to really go on are stats and highlights - which is why most people look at those teams and usually come away thinking, "wow Drexler really didn't have a whole lot of help. I say this because there's even a video of youtube by a guy talking about how great Clyde was, where he mentions that they got to the finals twice even though, unlike Jordan, Clyde didn't have any help. Which really sucks, because anybody who remembers that 1989 through 1993 Blazers squad, knows that each of those years they are some of the best teams to not win the championship in lg history.

I mean, just look at the ridiculously balanced scoring attack, Clyde only averaged somewhere between 20 and less than 25, and had to do so while shooting a shit ton less than Jordan did. As much as i think MJ is the greatest player of all time, i think people tend to embellish his dominance sometimes and ignore the fact that he was a bit of a volume scorer, (especially in the 80's). He'd have a significantly higher ppg, but also shot a bunch more times than the likes of Clyde. These people say this not understanding just how fuckin stacked those Blazers teams were and the fact that if anyone of the not just the starting five, but even some of the bench players, were on pretty much any other team they woulda average 20 or more a game. Aside for Clyde they had Jerome Kersey, who was one of the most underrated SF's in history, Duckworth - who certainly was as elite as Kersey, but was still one of the top five centers back then who had soft hands, great passing, and unstoppable post moves, and then Terry Porter - who is easily one of the top ten most underrated PG's in history. Porter was the perfect PG, a pass-first guy who was good on defense while also having a deadly mid-range pull-up and outside jumper. Even with Drexler putting up over 20 a game throughout the later 80's to early 90's, Kersey or Porter, sometimes both, averaging close to 20, and then Duckworth with 14 or 15 a game. Not to mention the rebound-machine Buck Williams, who was also a great cutter and runner, who'd have double figures as well. Then off the bench was Cliff Robinson, Danny Ainge, and either Drazen Petrovic or aging Walter Davis, who all averaged close to double figures and depending on the year - did average double figures. It's a fuckin shame they never won the chamionship. Im convinced that they woulda in 93 if Clyde and Duck hadn't gotten injured, they were absolutely steam-rolling teams prior to them going down. They were pretty fucking great in 94 too, adding in Rod Strickland, (also easily one of the top 10 most underrated PG's of all time imo), but stupidly traded Clyde away.

Jordan would definitely know Clyde was a threat and underrated because Clyde used to put him in the torcher chamber…

Jordan said Clyde was just as good as he was, it's just Clyde didn't know how to "play the game" like he did. Mainly with marketing

What if the Blazers drafted Jordan, put Drexler as a small forward and put Jordan as a shooting guard that would have been like the dream team, but would Jordan get breaks from the refs like he did in Chicago do to playing for a small market team? Probably not, I guess know one will ever know what would have happened, because it didn't happen!

Put Clyde on those Bulls teams and Michael on those Blazers teams who wins more titles

Clyde was the 2nd best 2 guard of his era. No other better than Jordan.

I actually always thought Clyde was overrated. He could only really handle the ball with his right hand, and did it with his head down. But more importantly, he threw up a ton of bricks because of that flat shot trajectory
