What is Tabata? 20 Seconds of sprint/work, 10 second rest, for 4 straight minutes. Tabata music lets you focus on your workout, rather than think about having to look at your watch or a timer.

Tabata Training began in the mid 1990's. Japanese fitness researcher Dr Izumi Tabata created a HIIT (high intensity interval training) workout, using this very method. Dr Tabata proved the tabata method to draw heavily from both the aerobic and anaerobic systems, unlike most conventional workouts, which tend heavily favor one or the other.

The Tabata Interval has gained a lot of recognition throughout the Crossfit community, running community, and health clubs across the globe, for its versatility, adaptability, and positive results.

The Tabata Interval Method has proven to maximize VO2 max, while also building endurance, burning fat, and retaining muscle. Though the Tabata was not designed as a fat loss or weight loss program, it has gained a lot of recent attention in response to tabatas ability to speed up the metabolism and burn fat.

What is Crossfit? A workout program designed by Greg Glassman, which follows daily WOD (workout of the day) posts on the company's official site. CrossFit often uses tabata in their w.o.d.

Nice catch! He actually went through the workout three times (with a break between each 4 minute session) so we could film different camera angles with the single camera we had. Jim is an incredible athlete!

I will tell you something, ive been training with this song 3 days per week for about 3 years, But I decided to put it again, hahaha 1, 2, 3 go!! I tabata.

I replace the walking handstands with crawls/"mountain climbs" (i.e. behind in the air, knees off the ground and "crawling" across the floor. And instead of clean jerks (first excercise), I use a heavy ball and do "ball-to-wall" thows with squats. This guy is twice my size and probably HALF my age😅, so I don't TRY to compare myself! I thank the Lord for allowing me to do what I am able to do now!

Tabata is definitely one of the best ways to cut fat and get fit. Proven to increase your VO2 max within two weeks. Prefer using one or two alternating exercises as I find this works better but great video and loving the CrossFit take on it

Try it once to start. If you can handle more... keep going! This can work for any exercise that allows you to go 'all out'

So far I don't know a better way to give stronger-faster body than martial arts, and imply less body damage risk than most of training forms, like this. Calistenic techniques are the closest thing to martial arts performance, I did kung fu for 17 years and still able to knock down a 240 pounds guy. Anyhow, you guys do what you find most enjoyable no matter what. Gl

Nice routine.  That was impressive use of the rings for sure.  I may need to try incorporating them for muscle ups from now on.  Thanks guys, I already know what I will be doing tomorrow.

We don´t have crossfit where I live, but my taekwon-do sabum uses this music for overall endurance, HIIT and sparring training. And I like it!
