Mozeliak not expecting to sell at deadline: 'We're going to be looking at ways to help this club'

John Mozeliak thinks the Cardinals are playing more "Cardinal-like" baseball lately: "I do like that we are playing better baseball right now. Most importantly, there's still a lot of baseball to be played.... Plenty of time to get to where we need to be."

Your going to have to trade because your owner is one of the cheapest owners in all of professional sports. Mozeliak gets a lot of blame but that owner, Bill Nimwit Jr is God awful, and only wants to collect money not spend it.

The BS meter broke with this one. The team is in disarray. Also thinking that Tyler’s problem is with his head space and timing. I have been a staunch supporter, but bruh, wasssup? Thinking he just wants a new start at another address.

We need something. On paper we should be running away with the division. Instead we split with the Reds and not only lose to the Royals (second worst team, with the worst ERA in baseball) with only two hits. In theory this team should have 35 wins by now.

If Mo really wants to help the team he will fire Marmol and DFA Contreras, DeJong and Matz…..addition by subtraction.

I know Army has his critics but I think he is so much more personable that Mo. Professionally it would be interesting to see how the Cardinal organization would have handled the musical chairs in the minors that the had to endure with AHL affiliate. I feel that has not been discussed enough.

I hope the Taveras family is doing as well as can be expected. Obviously more important than a game but that loss had a similar perhaps greater impact on organization that still ripples.

I don’t like how Mo uses ‘games’ and not ‘innings’. He and ownership have not provided the arms to handle the number of innings in third consecutive year. They act like they are calculated but they are more hopeful and miserly. The calculation is that our fans will show up even with poor starts and overused bullpen.

Love the Cardinals!

Mo is in denial..
It's no brainer they need pitching sp, the pen.
If you don't want to improve the team especially for the fans, the 3 million who show up to Busch every year.
You should think about turning in your resignation...
This organization is getting to be a joke.
S.O.S. every year..

After last night's After those 4 consecutive series wins, I held a glimmer of hope. Then we split the series with the Reds, lost the series to the Guardians, and nearly get no-hit in the opener to the Royals....
