Advent of Code 2020 - Day 20

Little bit of a different video. This only contains my solution for part 1. Definitely hitting the limit of my abilities now.

You have what you need to do part 2. You already know how to build the entire puzzle; you then build the 8 possible configs (4 rotations * 2 sides (flip). Then it’s just pattern matching (box the pattern, try pixel by pixel to see if you can draw the creature. If you break it all down in small pieces, you can do it. I think this is the most fun challenge of the year so far.

Been doing them live on Twitch each day (and uploading annotated vids to YT, but I’m way behind on editing 😅)

if you have the top left corner you can fill the top border by going right, then you can fill downward to fill the entire puzzle.

I spent working on Day 20 more than 4 hours. Day 18 I was able to finish today. I'm really thinking that I will not do Day 21 and further because I'm spending too much time on it.
It was good idea to just count matches and that way found the corners. I started with building a map. So I had easier start for Part2, but still. I'm doing nothing else than AoC.
