Eric Clapton’s SECRET Weapon

More than 30 years after #Fender designed the #EricClapton #Stratocaster it's no secret that it has some interesting features lurking under the hood. We take a look at what's going on with the electronics by using my 1990's MIJ Strat that I outfitted with pickups taken from a 1992 Clapton Strat. @fender @ericclapton

I saw Clapton in 2021 and he still sounded great at 75 years old. I was impressed! :)

I've got one. Bought it last year (2024) mines got the 25db midboost, and a TBX tone control. Plays like a dream and the boost sounds great and is very easy to control.

The E.C.signature is an awesome guitar.

I play a strat with the volume on 7, and boost the volume .
Les Paul’s I play with the volume around 4, adding volume or gain when necessary.
Mid boosts are for players that play on 10 all the time.

This made me pull out my 89 american standard with LACE. Never cares for this guitar either. But....its growing on me.

Clapton is way overrated. HES good but just not great . JIMMI HENDERIX is head of that class !
