How to safely remove a hard fiberglass cast

We used a dremel with an oscillating multitool that doesn't break the skin. Some might ask why you wouldn't just go to your doctor to have it taken off. You really should go unless there is a reason that you can't. In my case, I live in a small town that doesn't have the best health care. After dealing with the incompetence of one of the orthopedic offices here I was forced to remove it at home and use a brace until I could get an appointment at an office out of town.

Thank you. I'm going to homedepot to buy dremel and the needed multitool. I'm going nuts with this cast on my leg.

I’ve removed my cast using a similar tool. Works absolutely fine, no problems at all.

That blade looked loose, but it worked just fine.

Should be using bandage scissors to cut the inner bandage, not pointed ones.
