Three Stretches to do Before Swimming

Показать описание
Swimming warmups may differ between competitors, but one thing no one should skip is pre-workout stretching. Division I swimming and diving coach Marc Christian shares three of his favorite stretches to do before getting in the pool.
The first stretch is a tricep extension. This stretch targets your triceps and the surrounding muscles to help get your body ready for arm strokes.
Next is a move known as arm swings. Rather than being a stretch that you hold, arm swings are a continuous movement that is repeated for up to a minute. Arm swings can help open your chest and loosen your arms.
Finally, Christian recommends the quad pull. A strong kick is essential for a swimmer, and warming up your quadriceps can help you get ready for the water.
