Hi there.
I would like to share some personnal experience if it can help even a bit.

Most of what you're describing I can confirm I experienced all of them, but it happened depending of the period and my knowledge of ADHD, it got much better learning how to manage it thanks to people like you and therapy.

Sadly here we don't have much choice only Methylphenidate so I had to learn how to counter or soften each side effects to keep it "something helpful", also we regularly have shortage of treatment so I can't even have my usual 54mg lately...

The dizziness and increased blood pressure are especially a pain feel it everyday, took me some time to learn strategies to counter it when it's possible (food and some practice to lower blood preasure rapidly).
When I'm lucky to have 36 and 18mg in store I take them 45mn 1h appart to avoid the huge spike of dizzyness for me and other stuff.

For my insomnia I asked for shorter release Ritaline but my psychiatrist told me how to "surf the wave tail" by targeting the sweet spot between still being focus and calm but not feeling too energize, melatonine and creating sleep ritual, learning why I was sleeping late (bedtime procrastination) all of that helped me to counter that.

Sometime in case of big emotion it can not be enough to find sleep especially if the brain is on "dopamine craving mode", this is where education on ADHD and therapy really is gamechanger to learn how to manage that.

Pro tips:
Take your sleep super seriously, like a project prepare it well.

I learned the hard way how the lack of sleep amplified my ADHD symptoms AND reducing the effects of the treatment while still keeping the bad sides effects and it's a vicious circle!

Bedding quality, room temp, oxygenation (having sleep apnea), eating habits, take it all like you're taking care of yourself and your futur, the best you sleep the more the treatment work well and the less you suffer from ADHD.
Took me time and money but everything was worth it :D

I take 54 mg of Concerta. I try and take it at 7am to give it the day to wear off. I go to bed at 11pm, but have experienced insomnia. I'm going to speak with my doctor about reducing the dose to 36mg or 27mg to see if that helps. It also makes me perspire easily.

Hi there, I'm 33 and got diagnosed with ADHD about a month ago. I will soon start with Concerta 18mg, and was wondering if it's common to experience side effects even at the lowest dosage. What I'm more concerned about is anxiety. Sometimes I have mild anxiety, probably as a result of not being performant, and what scares me is that it will worsen my anxiety and also if that's the case I will have to deal with it's effects until it wears off. Any advice? Maybe I'm just overthinking and exaggerating the possible side effects. Thanks
