So what can you actually do with a physics masters degree? It turns out, pretty much! There are actually great career choices for physicists, many of which are not immediately clear to the casual observer. So I compiled a list of career choices I wanted to show you, in case you are also interested in pursuing a physics degree and want to know more about what you can do with it. I split this list up in two categories, physics related and non-physics related. I completed my M.Sc. at TUM this year.

Very informative and detailed. I'm planning on doing my bachelors in Physics at the University of Leipzig because I found studying in German super hard. Your video really helps with how to move forward. Thanks a lot and will definitely keep following your content. All the best with everything!

I loved physics and really wanted to pursue it until people convinced me to do engineering instead. It is fun but I still yearn for more physics.

In American you can become a patent agent. You need a PHD in a science (math, physics, biology etc) and need to pass the patent bar, which is different from the general bar. A law degree is not required for this. Patent agents can write and file patents, respond to office actions and other things. They are employed by companies and law firms and generally work under a lawyer. The patent lawyer is someone who has a PhD in a science and also passes the bar exam. They can argue cases if infringement in court. They don't make as much as patent lawyers but make 150USD and up.

Hi, keep producing these kind of videos, they are great. Do you know whether one gets the skills work in software engineering, data science and consulting with a degree in mathematics?

Have you heard of d-fine? This is a consulting firm with >90% STEM graduates. 50% of the consultants are physicists.

For those wanting to study (baccalaureate degree) at TUMS coming from an American HS, what advice on overcoming those initial requirements can you share?

I am also considering studying physics at TUM. Did you have problems finding a job in consulting, or did you quickly find an entry-level position?

Hi...
Danke

So how do you go about finding M.S physics programs? I don't want to go for a PhD, i want to get an ms and mba and go work as a quant.

Hai. I like your content. Currently joined tum for ms in applied and engineering physics.

I pinged you in Instagram.
