Yes it is! The 740 is just a normal GL-model, non-turbo, 118hp original.

Hi! I used a BMW ZF gearbox, rewelded to fit the T5 engine. Original prop shaft from 740 fits in BMWs hardy (!), i shortened it and welded it together. Used original T5 engine wiring and modified it (shortened some wires, stripped some). I have a nice gallery with project pictures, will PM it to you.

How did you transplant the engine ? Did you use M90 gearbox ? what prop shaft did you use ? How did you wired engine to run properly, did you made a custom wiring setup or used t5 engine wires ? Maybe you have a whole project written somewhere ? I'm planning to put t-5 in my 740 aswell !

T5 and T5R are nice cars. Watch my other movies with my old 850 T5 with 520hp. :)

i have a non turbo 940 wagon, and i want to swap in one of the twin turbo t6 engines. any useful info?

In this movie, about stock, only tuningchip and GLT-cams. Later it got a 19T turbo, 465cc injectors and about 330-340hp. Not a monster but fun to drive!

Conversion was not that hard. Gearbox is a ZF from BMW E36 328 (same as M3) - rewelded to fit the T5 engine. I'll send you a PM with the t5 swap! Cheers
