Brown University President Christina Paxson has accepted and completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge from MIT President L. Rafael Reif and now challenges Undergradate Council of Students Maahika Srinivasan, Brown alumna and star of stage and screen Kate Burton, University of Rhode Island President David Dooley, Rhode Island College President Nancy Carriuolo and Brown alumnus and World Bank President Doctor Jim Yong Kim.

The Ice Bucket Challenge promotes awareness of the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, and encourages donations to research.
