Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 - Synthesis Guide (Part 1)

Finally an in depth Synth grinding guide for KH2FM/KH2.5. I've wanted to do this for a while. I designed this to be viable at LV1, and in fact all clips are at LV1 I believe. Note that some of the 2FM exclusive synth items may be translated to have different names in the English version of 2.5. Also note that this may not be the absolute best way to do everything, so if you find something better you can feel free to do that instead.

Limit form gives you two lucky lucky abilities for sora, so personally i recommend it if you are looking for specific drops.

If you’re like me and can never remember how much of something you need or where to specifically go to get that thing,
Option A: look it up.
Option B: write it down.
Option C: (my personal favorite) get 99+ of whatever thing and move on to the next world.

I'm seeing quite a lot of people struggling with finding Bright Gems on here, and have found an alternative method in Space Paranoids. It may be a bit out of the way, but I can assure it works:

1. Head for Radiant Garden, and land at Ansem's Study. Head for the I/O Tower in SP.

2. Go through the red doorway into the Solar Sailer Simulation. Kill everything.

3. Head out of the Tower, and take a left to Dataspace. Exterminate.

4. Head back to the Solar Sailer. As it's 3 rooms away, the enemies will have respawned. Repeat steps 2 & 3 as needed.

Probably not the best method, but Aerial Knockers just weren't dropping anything for me, while the Magnum Loaders/Surveillance Robots were being a lot more generous with their drops.

Turns out grinding for Elixirs was a lot faster to me on Pride Lands, probably because I had Shockcharms on.

Some areas in the game like in Agrabah you dont need to death abuse to summon the heartless again. Like in the cave of wonders before the room that has a save point you can kill the heartless then re-enter it as well as outside the cave of the cave of wonders. I tried it on the 2.5 HD remix and it works. Its great if you farm off bright stones for the lucky rings of energy gem to reduce the mythril stone requirement for elixers/mega elixers.

a bit late, but something that you might want to do is make a bunch of shock charm pluses. Due to their thunder boost ability, combining this with photon debugger lets you take out almost everything is 1-2 thunders. At lv 1 you might need a 3rd thunder for some enemies.

Here's a grievance of mine regarding Synthesizing in KH2(FM), I wish it had a "Mix" in a green box or a checkmark next to it so you know which stuff you've already synthesized.

it seems that bright gems are more rare than bright crystals, I now have 70+ crystals and on -20 gems in a 2+hrs farming.
