I wish they hadn't nerfed hyper beam. It was high-risk high-reward.

Normal type always felt like a wildcard of the types in more recent gens. You have hilarious boosters like dubwool & greedent. Raw heavy hitters like Bewear & flame orb Obstagoon. Bulky nuisances like blissey & evolite P2. The type evolved into the primary type that showcases the gimmick madness newer players will experience among the other types & I appreciate the type for that fact alone

It's still crazy to me that it took so many years before the discovery that body slam didn't paralyze normal types and the oldest generation of pokemon got its first metagame shakeup in like a decade.

and then the type went on to be nerfed into oblivion. especially in gen 8 where they removed its best stab move (return/frustration) along with pursuit, which was commonly used to help them get passed ghost types.

Even the B-side normal types in Gen 1 are really good. Persian has good damage output with crit slash, Kangaskhan acts like a second more reckless Tauros, Raticate has super fang which softens up opposing teams for the late game, and Porygon has a niche of harassing certain Snorlax sets

Imo, these types of videos are your best content. I can tell you put in a lot of thought and effort into it. Keep it up!

Joey, I’m not exaggerating: this new format is the best Pokémon content on YouTube. It’s well-written, educational, and entertaining. Seriously, great job!

would love to see a video on dragon types in gen 5, drag mag is my favourite team style of all time and i think it could make for an interesting video

I really like Normal's all-rounder role and how it makes for some interesting type combinations. Normal/Ghost is pretty sick.

Gen 5 dragons would be nice as to explain just how broken they were to force the creation of fairy

Well, it's not NORMAL how I'm willing to pay you for your great content, Joey.

Love these kinda videos. Can’t wait to see how busted bug types were in Gen 1 as a follow-up

I was surprised that Taurus and Chansey we're high tier let alone broken. And Chansey wound up getting an evolution!

Super informative video as always! I feel like the title is a bit misleading though. I don’t mind learning about gen 1 mechanics/metas, but the video seemed like it was about the normal type throughout the years. Hopefully this is helpful feedback, I love the content!

I love how you can teach them a lot of different element moves

If we’re talking about type dominance—but in a slightly unconventional context—I want to hear about BoltBeam coverage (or Electric + Ice type moves), especially in Gens 3+.

I think background music would help these videos, but this style is rly fitting for you

the ones that came to mind for me were Persian, Chansey, Tauros, Snorlax, and Ditto.
