As a finn im actually very surprised because i have seen and literally experienced the exact opposite of this. Men learn alot of english in gaming, generally finnish women are way more shy about their english, alot of men are aswell. even if we know english we are embarassed about our thick accent. taht often means finns dont go making the initiative.

The reason why they prefer men of foreigners is that they treat these Finnish females as traditional females. They like to be more feminine. They get a taste of tradition where a man is a leader, he is giving her chivalry and she is about to be more feminine and more happy.

I consider myself as an extrovert for a Hispanic American guy but I feel that foreign women tend to be more caring, social, and more intellectual in my perspective. My girlfriend is Spanish 🇪🇸 born and I am American 🇺🇲 born but we do have good chemistry with one another. I have noticed this my self of finnish guys too.
the thing they dont realize that doing bare minimum IS NOT ENOUGH.
it is the baseline and you cant expect a relationship by merely existing. sure it might work on some women but I expect them to be equal level of a basic drunk yokel as the guys.
and dont get me started on the "we dont dress up" part in finnish culture. its like people take pride in pointing out how supposedly down to earth they are, but it just comes off as incredibly prideful in being stupid and uneducated.
