To anyone consider Halogen to LED swap... Do your own research! The general consensus is that Led bulbs in halogen headlight housings tend to be brighter, but with increased hot spots that may even be blinding to you. If you do choose to swap in LED lights, it's best to leave halogen in low beams, and then use LED in high beams if you are really craving that extra light. This is the best of both worlds as you can upgrade your Halogen bulbs to a brighter white for looks w/o blinding others and then use the giga bright LED for the high beam, which is turned off when other cars appear anyways, but still reap the rewards. Jf for whatever reason you do choose to use LED's in low beam, just please adjust them properly! this will hopefully prevent a lot of the blinding that can occur.

I have a question for 9005.

I got my grand prize of the Lasfit LAair series and T3 7440 Amber and I love my new led high beams. They are extraordinary bright.

I’m saving my 7440 Amber lights so that I can get a different brand with a fan.

But that’s I’m talkin about.

My question is, is there a way to get those 9005/HB3 mounting tabs unscrew, and re-position the tabs so that I can get my led bulb orientation fix for facing the led chips 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock?
The only problem I get and this affect on all xB2.5 probably xB2 as well, putting led bulbs on 9005/HB3 high beams installed on a angle.

On the driver side, I installed sideways and twist and locked it. The led chips are facing 10 o’clock to 4 o’clock.

And my passenger side was installed on a perfect 3 o’clock to 9 o’clock, and twist and locked. And the led chips are facing 8 o’clock and 2 o’clock.

When I use my high beams they work wonders. It’s my only pet peeves to see my led high beam bulb’s orientation are on a angle and I hated lol.

But I guess that’s how our the xB high beams are made. I didn’t understand why Toyota/Scion didn’t fix that issue.

Can we fix and unscrew the mounting tabs were we insert the led bulbs, get it reposition to fix and correct the tabs to relocate the tabs, so that we can put our led bulb chops facing 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock as it supposed to?


Also, I know the 9005 LAair already came with adapters but it’s part of the body of the led bulbs.

Can a 9005/HB3 base adapters would help as a 360 adjustable version, to be able to fix the orientation of the led bulbs?

Always looks so easy. I am on hour 4 and can't get tàbs lined up snd no help from videos. With no clips for the shoulder thing, you don't know í f ít'sb5oight enough.
