Brrr, hello dear friends!
So the cooler weather is here and it's time to change the way we dress. Being a full-time pinup and vintage lover, I often get asked how to dress and style myself for winter but stay warm at the same time. I have put together a few tips and tricks for keeping warm whilst wearing vintage, pinup or retro-inspired outfits which I hope helps you stay nice and toasty.

I've worn vintage in temperatures as low as -50 C (Canadian). Wool is a must (wearing wool saved my life when I tipped a rowboat and it was -2 out) also this might not sit well with everyone but I will happily wear vintage furs, fur holds heat amazingly well. If you ever see fair isle (colorfully patterend knitwear) it is super warm becuse it has double layers of yarn.

This are wonderful tipps. I only wear dresses and skirts. Thigts and a petticoat help so much. You can even sit on cold benches. I wear socks under my tights to keep my feets even more warm. I also recommend a warm cotton slip to wear under your dress or blouse and skirt. I keeps you warm and feels comfortable. Also your head, feet and the part from shoulders to the middle on the thighs should be covered to keep you warm.

I usually go for a double layer of thermal leggings, but that's Sweden for you.

I only am wearing dresses, at least 90% of the time. Was looking for ways I can keep warm without having to wear trackies! Glad I came across your video, very helpful advice. I'm from Australia, so our mainland winters arn't that cold. However, if my son and I, move to Tasmania. It's much more colder there.

Not sure if you'll see this but do you remember where you bought the red coat with the fur collar and cuffs? I've been looking everywhere for one

Can you leave a link the the small warmers you talked about at the end?

It isn't vintage technically, but wet socks breathe and they definitely keep your feet dry. Look at a camping store. Good ideas, tho.

I bought leg warmers and wear them almost every day. Etsy. They'll make anything.
