Commentary on Rarity Update NEXT WEEK Last Oasis Season 5

Hi everyone, here's my quick take on the recent rarity update for LO and everything that entails. I'm pretty excited about it and they've made a lot of great changes. I hope we'll get a lot of PVP when this happens.

As much as I love Last Oasis, I think the devs made some major mistakes this season, which is why the player base has already dropped to below 300 concurrent players daily, they released something that had almost no testing, were sporadic on their direction of changes, and slacking on the important rebalances. I want to see the game succeed, but at this point I think most people are just going to wait till they figure it all out and wipe for seaon 6. My clan had about 20 active people at one time, we were all excited, and now it's maybe 3-4 people just doing base maintanance every few days, really feels like the past weeks were all for nothing. I can only hope once they figure everything out that the games gains players again. Base raiding would be best if it had a vulnerability time like the proxy walkers used to have, so you can make sure you are on for defense as offline raids are the worst, especially in such a grindy game as LO.

So it's basically pointless to upgrade your walker HP now? They whole point of upgrading a hull is to make it harder to access your stuff. If you want to prevent zeroing, just put a timer on it once it reaches 0 hp. If you haven't repaired within, say 48 hours, the walker is destroyed.

Appreciate the update, but it’s to late this wipe to bother coming back they left this vital aspect out of the game for way to long

Kevin, we know you love the game, but who in their right mind is actually going to build a base on a PVP tile when someone can just raid it when you're offline? Anyone who still plays is just going to base on a PVE map so their ship and their stuff is safe. I guess there will be a lot fewer big ugly boxes on the PVP tiles, but otherwise, what does this accomplish?
