The important thing to note, is that none of the patients that had comorbidities in the treatment group died. Next you need to see if only patients that had comorbidities in the placebo group died. Even if so, the ones in the treatment group, however small a group, fared better!

Synairgen have just completed phase 3 trials with 660 patients internationally, the data is being unblinded at the moment.
Results should be out sometime February.

If 79% survived in patients needing to be hospitalized the chances are very high that you would get 100% survival if given early before there is a need for hospitalization.

In uk there is no at home treatment, the advice is to isolate, and basically only call hospital if fever increases too much and breathing is getting worse . They also suggest taking paracetamol to relieve temperature . That to me, notably medical person seems to be counter productive. One initial increase of temperature is part of immune response, and two suppressing it will delay showing or feeling the need to ask for help. Personally I have looked at Math + and if I get symptoms I will be using the recommended items that I am able to purchase.

The advise we were given in the UK at the start was a total disaster . . If we thought we had the virus we were told to isolate and take paracetamol and don't go to hospital or the doctors till the symptoms were severe . . (Couldn't breathe turning blue and in a collapsed state)!
By then it was too late to treat in hospital that's why so many have died.
If, like in Pakistan people were treated properly early at home we wouldn't have filled the cemeteries up.

Has anyone done a study on long haulers, to establish if air pollution is or is not playing a role?
Thousands of studies show clearly that what we are breathing affects the immune system. The exposition to air pollution is way more complex for an individual than, what are the levels at the nearest bus stop.
Go to their house, chuck out all the endocrine disruptors, install active carbon filters and educate them on how to reduce a max their exposure.
Presuming that air pollution, which is known to affect us at a cellular level, isn't the problem because "we don't think" their exposition is sufficient, is not science.
