Thank you. Ever since I discovered Clara, about three years ago, I have watched everything she was ever in at least three times. She is now my all time favorite. To me she was the birth of modern acting and no one has caught up to her yet. Thanks again.

One of her sons was a district attorney in Nevada and was quite well known and well liked in Las Vegas. Apparently, one of the nicest people you could ever meet, was very involved in the community, and a class act. He passed away a little over 10 years ago.

Thank you for the Clara mini documentary. I first discovered this incredible woman in my youth some 30 or so years ago or so and became absolutely fascinated by her life and her career. It took time, but I sought out as many of her movies to watch as I could. Even though she was exploited by the producers, by continually casting her in low budget nonsense simply because the public would flock to her pictures regardless of the content, she had a knack of taking an ordinary or below average script and story and capturing the viewer's attention with her screen presence. How could you not love her? For those who haven't seen any of her movies yet, her best ones were "It", "Mantrap", and "Call Her Savage" and are her best three with "The Plastic Age", "Hula", and "Hoopla" (her final screen appearance with a touching final scene) also worth checking out as well.

Her biography is the most depressing thing I’ve ever read. Poor thing.

Poor girl did the best she could with the rough start that life gave her. I will have to watch her films. I prefer watching classics over today's junk.

At 2:40 Clara resembles a young Liza Minnelli. Wouldn't it have been something if Liza had played Clara in a movie about her life?. Liza was high energy too

She was very level headed never letting the Hollywood glitter blind her !!!!

The cat fight scene in Call Her Savage was real and brutal. This is the only film of hers I saw as the scene in the gay bar was referenced in The Celluloid Closet. I thought she was great. Realistic performance. I didn't detect a Brooklyn accent.

I believe the "Betty Boop" character was modeled after Clara. Does anyone know if this is true?

At 1:55 that actor looks like Alec Baldwin.

Because Sara was schizophrenic and thought actresses were tramps. She thought she was saving Clara.
