Winning Olympic gold and being this good at age 22 is unprecedented. It used to be that young players paid their dues on the World Tour for about a decade before they would start winning big around age 30. (Check out past Olympic and world champions.) Now, these two could realistically medal at the next 5 Olympics, which is insane! I just hope they remain healthy and motivated.

Hellvig's crazy timed blocks definitely got into their heads and they started making so many uncharacteristic mistakes. And Åhman looked like he didn't even have to get out of second gear today. Probably the best overall beach volley player in the world.
