Is DBZ Resurrection F Actually Canon? #shorts

Today I am discussing whether or not Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F is a canon movie.

Will say now, the films did it better than the anime series, apart from Ginyu coming back, I did like that from the anime

Whenever people want to watch DBS, I tell them to cheat by watching Battle of Gods and Resurrection F. Both are very similar. The only thing that Battle of Gods is different from the show is the location. And Resurrection F is different from the show is the explanation on Freiza's revival. (How Shenron explains why the Freiza force has Freiza's cut up body.)

I feel like Battle of the Gods did better than the dbs anime start, half because Goku only passed out once, and half because Vegeta actually damaged Birus in his anger

Did you know that piccolo died in resurrection F? They just didn’t show it in the movie

What about the time that Beerus accused the Z Fighters of destroying the Frieza Force when Goku was considering the 10th person for the tournament of power? That Z Fighters killed them all in the movie, but Frieza disintegrated them all himself by powering up in the anime, so wouldn’t that make the movie canon, unless Beerus was talking out of his butt?

I remember first watching super and seeing how bad those first two arcs were that I simply summarized both movies to my little brother and went into the tournament arc

the thing that i love about this movie is that they did jaco better they actualy make him fight alot of frieza force soldiers not like the dbs one where he only Took down one soldier

The movie is the real canon version because it was written by Toriyama, the anime is the Toei version, and just anime canon. Piccolo dying and the return of Ginyu.

It is because the special manga of Toyotaro is incomplete

The 3 chapter special is almost panel for panel what the movie is, and it doesn't even finish. At the end when Frieza is about to transform it just tells you to watch the movie, so I would assume yes, the movie is canon to the manga.

RoF is canon because the events in it and the anime are the same

Movie is canon, RoF in the anime: Frieza sees and recognizes Gotenks using fusion.

The anime one is just a re-adaptation by Toei, so canon to the anime of course.
But the movie is canon to manga and to the original DB canon, the absolue canon of Toriyama, because he is the only writer of the this movie

Considering he never brought up any major differences it's safe to assume the changes are minor at most.
