... we'd have to ignore air resistance, because at some point you'd reach a max velocity so it'd turn into uniform motion.

And I love imaginary numbers :3. And complex numbers. And polar coordinates. Poke. Math/Phys HL.

Isn't acceleration due to gravity, when falling down, +ve 9.81 since the force is pulling you down. The mark schemes also has it as +9.81m/s^2. Although calling the 'h' (height) negative as well takes care of the problem. :)

Shouldn't the final velocity be negative? since it points down?
