Looks a lovely kit to build...A little disappointed that yet another Spitfire has been released even tho its my favourite the Mk 9. Would love to see a 1/24 Sea Fury released.

great move, Airfix will sell loads of these. I' m on their Hellcat these days and I absolutely love it. But I think I'm gonna miss this out and get the tamiya 1/32 Spit instead. Kotare also coming with a nice bob mkI.

Good on Airfix..They are moving in the good direction..1/24th isn’t my scale..But the look of this Spitfire might nudge me..

I already built the Tamiya Mk 9 so I have interest in another one and I don’t care that it’s in 1/24. Kotare has an amazing 1/32 MK 1 coming out at about the same time and that’s the Spitfire I want.

looks a bit odd without fuel tanks aft of the firewall? .... like a Sandwich with nothing in it.
there's also a V brace inbetween them. i'd like to see a 'scale kit of the A/C' not a 'scale A/C of the kit' they're not the same thing yet it's got so close? the large scale allows for scaling down the actual engineering with a few extra pieces and a top cover panel? doesn't make sense to leave a gaping void inbetweeen two complex accurate detailed structures when what's in between is simple?

Mr Hornby probably won't look bothered and so I'm not sure I will be.
A lunch break short of a decent sarny for £100.00 and 6 months to wait for it ... canteen close in 1974?
