I avoid Rapha as a brand mostly because I really don’t want to be associated with the types of people I see who are all-in on Rapha. Yes we get it you have a surplus of disposable income, thanks for telling the rest of us in so many ways.

Love: Orbea. Thought-out design, reasonable prices with good equipment, good guarantee and support, and the company is organized as a cooperative, so a real advantage for the employees. Generally I prefer niche brands whose primary goal is not to pull money out of customers' pockets, but to actually make good bikes.
"Hate": every fancy, hyped and overpriced brand that sacrifices quality and spec for profit. Especially Trek.

I don't hate any particular brand, but I do hate when a brand sells rebranded products. Specialized water bottles being resold with a 50% markup due to a logo or some company selling rebranded Andel cranksets as their own with a markup. Looking at you all-city.

Sportful is my go to cycling jersey. Love the material, tailoring around the arm cuff is tight, which I prefer. Your tat looked great just stenciled.

awesome tattoo Dave, saw that on IG and thought it's gonna hurt - looks dope! Brands - I don't really hate on any and can't be ar$ed to argue with the Rapha clad crew for not following the rules or be a sheep! I've got a couple of their bags, great bits of kit, but don't really want to be seen with that brand on my chest - they prob feel the same way about me! Altura make good technical kit and good value, Decathalon is OK too, Troy Lee Designs are a staple. As for racing, CX isn't until the winter so get on your hardtail and smash some XC - I hear Devon\cornwall has a decent race scene for it too - certainly have the terrain - go ride bud!

Hate is a bit strong, but I tend to avoid the brands that most wear.. Rapha, Maap, United Colours also as they are bloody expensive. I love Northwave and Gore.

OK, cycling brand... bibs... Redwhite, great product, well priced and excellent after sales follow up, Attacus would be a close second. Shoes (very personal) - Lake, good range of fit options and good support. Cycle jersey - general... not fussed, happy with pretty much anything. Specialised jerseys, Soigneur - merino wool jerseys from Rotorua New Zealand. Pricey but well worth the dollars. Actually saying that, same sort of cost as a jersey from a lot of the other brands, but a way better product, excellently presented and really well made.

I'm old enough to remember what the Specialized corporate lawyers did to sole traders and small companies who were trying to make their way into the bicycle market, including the case of Dan Richter, a café owner in Alberta. And many more since, using their wealth to crush the little man who couldn't afford to match their lawyers.
Despicable company, I'd never buy anything from them.

Not so much the brands as it is some business practices…. Also, for the same reason, like some brands…. Crashed wearing Rapha…. Damaged a Core Winter jacket…. They couldn’t repair…. Sent me a very generous discount code and returned the original…. Which I patched and, also, replaced…. That’s premium customer service for a premium brand…

I do not actually dislike any brands really.... Unless you do count Evans cycles I when I brought my first bike there the bike fit was shocking and after service too.

Tattoo looks cool though, Calvin Harris has love for you 😂

I dont think there are any I hate, but there are brands I wouldn't want to be associated with as the owners do have a bit of a reputation. Rapha, S-works and Pinarello. Sorry if you are one of those 😟

Despise TREK. the way they treated Greg LeMond. Also, anything associated with that bumb Bernard Hinault for the way he treated Greg.... lied, cheated and took advantage.
