America votes today in the all-important midterm elections. In the House, 435 seats are at stake, along with 34 seats and 2 special elections in the Senate. In addition, 36 state governorships and 3 in US territories are up for grabs. Virginia’s 2nd District is one key race that could help decide who controls the House.

President Joe Biden congratulated Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu on his election win and pledged continued US support for Israel. Biden spokesperson Karine Jean- Pierre says the White House will “closely monitor” developments as Netanyahu forms a government.

China’s economic trade numbers dropped in October, due in part to weak global demand, but also to the government’s “Zero-COVID” policy, which is drawing protests in areas across the country.
