I think it's worth mentioning when you push you should squat a little with your front foot and try to keep most of your weight on that foot. I had a bad habit of basically putting all my weight on the pushing foot and was leaning over that left instead of squatting on the front foot.

I've been trying to do an Ollie multiple times but I literally went insane when I realized I had to turn my foot once im moving on the board.

Update: I can do a Nollie properly now

I think that everyone who posts a skateboard tutorial for beginners always forgets to say, balance is an important key, just like riding a bike balance is everything, once you got that under control then its pretty much not trying to let fear get the best of you.

Hi fellow beginners! As a beginner myself learning how to ride the skateboard like this took me days or a little over a week to know. So just remember to be patient with learning, wear protective gear, practice often, and have fun!

Edit: I just fell down when trying to ride the skateboard outside for the first time lmao. It happened today so if this happened to you, don’t be too embarrassed, it happens sometimes.

I went to a skatepark for the first time a couple days ago!! I'm still learning to push and cruise comfortably but it was so much fun! I worked on carving turns a bit and even went down a little slope! There was almost nobody there to see me fall on my face except a scooter kid, who ALMOST snaked me like 3 times (he was super nice tho plus he was like 8 and nowhere near as bad as a lot of scooter kids ive seen in the wild)

Started skating a long time ago but this is a nice honest way to teach how to push and ride. Reminds me of when my neighborhood friends taught me how to ride a bike, or scooter, or skateboard. Keep it up
