This is a video I didn't know I needed so much. The love and care you put into your job is amazing. Your eyes spoke of your feelings throughout. The Undertakers who cared for my maternal great grandparents & grandparents, took care of my brother, who left us through suicide. Those moments when we feel distraught and destroyed in grief, are eased by the love poured out by church celebrants and Undertakers. I don't fear death. I strongly believe it is not the end. However, knowing there are people like you out there, brings great comfort.

Hi Kari! Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. I have to say that they were quite interesting. I don't know if you know about this or not but my great niece and her five year old little boy was murdered by the boys father in the front yard of my nieces home. When I went to the funeral home, my great niece was sort of lying on her side with her little boy in her arms. I've never seen a deceased child before nor a mother and child together. It was the most heart wrenching thing I've ever seen. I must add that whoever took care of them did an amazing job. They both looked beautiful. She was a beautiful girl. You are amazing to listen to . You are quite a woman!!! God bless you.!

My niece has just started her studies in mortuary science and I am so proud of her. Like you, this was, for a long time, a man's profession but having more women involved is, in my opinion a real plus. My niece is so interested in the restorative arts behind the scene part of the industry.

This is one of the best videos I’ve seen in a while. Touched on a lot of things that I never thought of when dealing with the funeral service arena.

9:31. My mom refused to let me and my sister read my dad’s suicide letter, and I’ve always suspected her of something.

If you announce funerals for veterans that have nobody, people WILL come. I think it's a very good idea. And I think burying the babies right in the earth like that is kind of beautiful in its way. I've lost more than one baby and I think that's kind of special...thank you for being there for them and for caring for them in the kind way I know you do. ❤

Carrie may God continue to bless you with the gift of caring and doing what you do in a very healthy and humane way. You have a very good heart, and the perceptions that you feel when trying to give the people that you care for and their kin shows you were a most ideal person for the job you do. Take care and Season Greetings to you and your family.

KARI LOOKS SO YOUNG. Unbelievable that she has been doing this for over 20 years. I figured a job like this would have a person looking a lot older....and with kids as well. sheeshh ! KARI YOU HAVE GREAT GENES !

Congratulations on 20 years of service & dedication, the funeral directors are "Heroes" in my opinion because they do something very few are willing to do in the hardest moments of people's lives. Thank you Kari for all you do 👍

You have done great work over YouTube for the past few years and for the past 20 great work in person I’m sure. Congratulations! Crazy that I’m right behind you being a licensed media technician. 17 years this June.

I have this habit of running your videos in the car when I have a little driving to do, like I did when I saw this video in my feed.

When you got to, “Daddy! Daddy! Daddy! I was at a stoplight, which was a good thing. I had to find a napkin or something, because my face instantly started getting wet….

My mom died in July 1990 and the minister that did her service has been the pastor at our church for decades. His normal speaking voice is this deep rich baritone…. They chose him to also do an aunt’s service in 2001. I was alone in the church, looking at my aunt when he came up behind me…. He put his hand on my shoulder and said my name…. I hadn’t heard his voice in 11 years and the very sound of it…. Let’s just say I’m glad it was only the two of us. I had an instant meltdown, bawling like a baby.

Edward Bowman, if you’re still out there, don’t say my name.

It’s very weird to me how you can be owned by a simple voice or sound that lives in your memory like that. I have some of my mom’s 30+ year old cologne that does exactly the same thing to me. The memories just immediately appear.
