1:28 that is the "SchuKo" plug very common in continental Europe. It has strip contacts on the sides for ground, but all the modern ones have that hole for a ground pin that is still somewhat common in older Nordic installations. The diameter and prong spacing of either design is the same with the "zero class" or "Russian" plug, and they plug into zero class sockets in either polarity, lacking ground of course. The SchuKo and Old Nordic sockets are designed not to accept the plain round zero class plug (unless the plug is cut and/or drilled to fit, which would not be code), but there is a compatible non-grounding plug design that fits the sockets of all aforementioned styles. Then there is the low power "Euro" plug, a flat plug with two thin, round, partially insulated prongs that are a bit bent inwards. It is designed to fit most European sockets, including the non-round ones - it even loosely fits the UK razor sockets (that have an isolation transformer in each individual unit), and can be shoehorned into the UK domestic sockets too.

Help I just plugged a US Marantz AV unit into a 3000W converter and the AV smoked bad. I had the converter set to 220v and plugged the USA AV power lead into one of the 2 available sockets. Does it matter which socket I use, or does both sockets give the same voltage? Also what’s the damage to the AV? Is it fixable as it’s worth a fair bit

Took me a while to realize this isn't GoldSrc and that we would not, in fact, be seeing Half-Life ported to a transformer. Good stuff, makes me feel better about my solder jobs!

I ordered one in the box from eBay and it arrived completely smashed INSIDE. The transformer came loose and smashed everything else up.

personally i would have used insulated crimp connectors or heat shrink on the on front light just in case one ever come lose and touched the case but other than that good job. very shocking how poorly it was assembled internally, the ce and iso 9001 markings are obviously fake and having a us power cord it should probably have a ul/intertec mark for the region its being sold.

Just tested one of these and the 220v came back as 135v
