In her recent interview, Whitney Webb paints a detailed and chilling picture of the financial world’s ongoing transformation, specifically zeroing in on Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and their potential to fundamentally reshape not just economics but the very concept of financial privacy. Webb's concerns are grounded in the alarming power dynamics shaping these technologies, especially how firms like BlackRock are deeply embedded within government decision-making circles. She warns of the hidden forces that often operate behind the scenes during times of crisis—crises that are not only financial but also social and political.
One of the key points Webb makes revolves around BlackRock, a firm she views as having disproportionate influence over U.S. fiscal policy, regardless of the political administration. In this interview, she mentions how BlackRock played a pivotal role during the economic crises that unfolded both during the 2008 financial meltdown and the COVID-19 pandemic. In both cases, policies supposedly aimed at rescuing Main Street ended up disproportionately benefiting Wall Street, with BlackRock standing at the forefront of these wealth transfers.

What comes to mind is years ago now, what was AT&T's market value, or using another example, Standard Oil, right before the government broke them up ?
I understand BlackRocks market value is over 10 trillion dollars ?
Seems I've been hearing that number for a few years.
