A notable fact about the Chernobyl incident is that many of the workers and first responders who dealt with the immediate aftermath were not fully aware of the severity of the situation. Firefighters, plant operators, and emergency crews were exposed to extremely high levels of radiation, often without adequate protective gear or knowledge of the intense dangers they were facing. Despite this, they worked bravely to contain the disaster and prevent further spread of radioactive materials.

For those who don't know what's going on in the background, Chernobyl was experiencing a power surge. They attempted stop it by activating A3-5. The boron rods were inserted in the reactor and helped cool down the reactor but not the tips! The tips were made out of graphite, which accelerates reactivity. This energy causes the rods to break and reshape, locking them in and endlessly accelerating the process. After a couple of seconds, an explosion causes the lod to pop off several meters off the ground. The exposed reactor mixing with oxygen only worsens the problem. After a few more seconds, the final explosion blows the roof apart. This was the famous explosion to wreak havoc across ulkraine.

Some people don’t really understand. They saying these guys sacraficed their lives but in fact it was actually their fault. The head engineer that night ignored the rising heat and told them to just pull out the rods but it made it worse. Sadly the other engineers stayed behind and helped but him he ran away and some what survived the radiation. The show explains a lot what happened it’s literally called Chernobyl on HBO max. It is not for kids though and has some very sad and disturbing episodes.
