I say you should hold the airport accountable for this to try and prevent this from happening to someone else. They knew you had paid for them and were coming to get them, and they still threw them away - that's destruction of property as they didn't get permission from you, give you proper notice, or inform you that it was happening.

Also, hats off to that John guy. As it wasn't his mistake to make up for, he didn't have to do anything to help you. Now that's a true and genuinely kind person.

A big shout out to Joe for going down and collecting those wings, that's the definition of commitment. Everyone needs a person like Joe in their lives.

The whole issue surrounding the wings that sat at that airport for years, and when they are purchased by Jason, they just all of the sudden get disposed of is very suspicious.
Not to mention they get ruined in the process. Joe, you are the best, hats off to you. Good to see that engine cradle assembly is in good shape.

Props for not losing momentum and keeping things positive in the face of a situation like that, inspiring!

I am a Disabled Combat Veteran. I love watching your channel. My nephew is also a Veteran that is going for his private pilot's license. When I watched what you are doing with the yacht. And it restored my faith in people caring about Veterans and first responders. So after watching this episode. I looked online for 401 wings, and I just found a set of complete corrosion free wings. They are on Aircraft Wholesalers. I wish I had the money to buy these wings to help with this project. But I am going to contact them and tell them about you channel and what you are doing. Who knows, maybe they will want to help with this project. Thank you for all that you are doing, and have a blessed day.

Hey brother. Just wanted to give a shout from Norway. What you're doing with the 401 is really inspiring, and I find myself waiting for every episode like a five year old kid at christmas eve. Keep up the amazing work, Jason.

I think it will work, but I also think the airport that gave the wings away after you owned them should be held accountable.

Seeing planes like that in a graveyard is really painful. But after watching what you guys are going through to save the 401, I can understand why people don't try to save many of these planes. Great work!

The fact those wings sat for so long and when someone shows interest in them all of a sudden they were moved something fishy going on

My heart sank when the cradles had been cut off, but a massive pat on the back to John the guy who cut the cradles off the other wings n well done Joe for hacking the trip to fetch em.

I love following this rescue! Years ago I worked at a Cessna multi-engine service center and was sent to Cessna 300/400 series school in Wichita. I did a few wing swaps and repairs back then. An issue I want to warn you about is some assemblies were drilled at manufacture. This means there is a chance the rivet holes will not line up when taking subassemblies from one substructure and trying to put them on another. I hope it works out for you, but don't be surprised if the used mounts are unusable. Good luck and keep these videos coming!

I've flown these things for nearly 40 years - but watching this, I am AMAZED at how complicated these things are! How many tiny panels, hidden inspection plates, thousands of rivets ....
