The Homematic IP garage door switch controls garage door drives within the Homematic IP Smart Home system. The robust button replaces conventional garage door buttons and binds the garage door drive directly into the Smart Home. Once the garage door button is set up via the Homematic IP app, the garage door can be controlled by a button, Homematic IP remote control or easily on the go via the smartphone app. So all typical functions such as opening and closing are possible at the touch of a button.

The Homematic IP garage door switch can only be used with a separately available gateway such as the Homematic IP Access Point.

Flexible power supply
The button can be flexibly adjusted to the conditions on site thanks to the different possibilities of power supply. Whether the button is powered with batteries, a power supply or directly via the garage door drive, can be decided depending on the frame conditions.

Offline operation
Many functions such as Heating profiles, time profiles or alarm via siren are performed even if the Internet connection is missing or defective access point.
