I like this video, it precisely shows one way to go from handwriting to text on a phone that has a precision stylus. It also demonstrates how stupid Android's implementation of handwriting to text is. Before smart phones, we had Windows CE tablets which had screens about the same size as smartphone screens today. The great thing about that platform was that you could write across the ENTIRE screen, no matter what app you were in, and CE would then convert it to text after you paused for a second. You didn't have to write in one area, select the text, or even tap on something to translate the writing to text. CE just did the work! Now, 20 years later and Samsung and Android still haven't implemented a handwriting to text process anywhere near as easy. I think Swype made handwriting to text irrelevant as it is by far the fastest and easiest way to enter text. Granted glide, or "swipe" keyboarding isn't for everyone.
